Terms of Service

1. Who these terms are with

GenJ4 is a commerce platform operated by Genesis J4 LLC, a private limited liability company. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “GenJ4” mean Genesis J4 LLC, and “you” means the person or business using the platform.

By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use the platform.

2. What the platform does

GenJ4 lets a business owner describe their business and receive a working online storefront, including product listings, payment handling, order management and fulfilment tools. We provide and operate that software.

We are not the seller. Merchants using GenJ4 sell their own goods to their own customers. We do not own, hold, produce or ship those goods, and we are not a party to the sale between a merchant and their customer.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

You must be legally able to enter into a contract, and you must be old enough to do so where you live.

4. Your content and your store

You keep ownership of everything you put into the platform — your product descriptions, images, business information and customer records. You grant us the permission we need to host, process and display that content in order to operate the platform for you.

You are responsible for what you sell and what you publish, including that it is lawful, accurately described, and that you have the rights to any material you upload.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use GenJ4 to:

• sell goods or services that are unlawful where you or your customers are;
• infringe someone else’s intellectual property or privacy;
• mislead customers about what they are buying, who they are buying from, or what it costs;
• send unsolicited bulk messages, or misuse a connected account;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform, other merchants’ data, or any connected service;
• interfere with the platform’s operation or security.

We may suspend or end access that breaches these terms, and will tell you why where we reasonably can.

6. Connected services

The platform can connect to third-party services on your instruction — for example payment, shipping, accounting and social platforms. When you connect one, you authorise us to exchange data with it on your behalf, limited to what that connection needs.

Those services are operated by other companies under their own terms, and we do not control them. You remain responsible for complying with the terms of any service you connect, and you can disconnect a service at any time.

7. Payments, fees and taxes

Payments from your customers are handled by third-party payment processors. We do not receive or store complete payment card numbers.

Where fees apply to your use of the platform, they will be stated to you before they are charged. You are responsible for determining, collecting and remitting any taxes arising from your sales, and for any shipping or postage costs you incur.

8. Availability

We work to keep the platform available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, third-party outages and circumstances outside our control can interrupt service.

The platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind beyond those that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Genesis J4 LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost sales or lost data, arising from your use of the platform.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Ending your use

You may stop using the platform and close your account at any time. We may end or suspend access where these terms are breached, where required by law, or where continuing would create risk for other users.

Sections that by their nature should survive — ownership, limitation of liability, and any amounts already owed — continue to apply after access ends.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform changes. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.
